Virtual SPRING FLING 2020 

As most of you know, the fall ASK and the Spring Fling PTA fundraisers are critical to our school’s budget in order to maintain important staff and programs that our community values (e.g. science and gardening programs, social emotional supports, and supplementary resources for teachers).

Our virtual Spring Fling will have TWO components:

ONLINE AUCTION:  

Saturday, April 25th at 9:00am through Friday, May 1st at 10:00pm

Aside from the great array of “stuff” you can bid on such as items from local merchants, gift certificates to restaurants, museums, spas, kid camps and other services, you can also bid on the following:

  •   Family-hosted events – our Starr King families have come up with a smorgasbord of fun parties and activities—for kids, for adults or both—to support our school and to build community!  Each event has a set cost ($) per spot to participate. 

  •   Teacher-hosted events – our amazing Starr King teachers have offered to host a range of amazing parties, hikes, and other fun experiences to help support the school.  Most of the events have a set # spots that the event can accommodate which will go to the highest bidders. 

  •   Fund-a-need – Typically done via an exciting fund-a-need the night of the event, each year these donations account for a large portion of giving at Spring Fling.  During this year’s live event on May 2nd, we will invite people to participate in the fund-a-need by virtually raising their hand at our live online auction. Contributions can also be made right here, right now.  Each donation of $500 and above also receives 3 free raffle tickets! Thank you!

AND, that’s not all!  You can also participate in our virtual Raffle Extravaganza! What a bargain – $20 for one ticket and 3 tickets for $50 for chances to win a case of wine (value over $200) or a 1-week Caribbean vacation stay (value $900 - $1000)
